The Throop Company has worked with Caltrans as a sub-contractor under many general contractors such as Peterson-Chase General Engineering Construction Company, Granite Construction Company and many others for years. We have worked on freeways, highways, on-ramps and roads all over California working on repairing bridge decks, replacing approach slabs, placing decks with polyester concrete overlays, replacing freeway panels and many other concrete projects. Below are photos of an on-ramp repair project. After placing Rapid Set concrete, Caltrans was able to open back up to traffic in less than 2 hours. Extensive testing is a part of every Caltrans project.
